The highly anticipated OnePlus 6T was all set to launch on October 30 and even the fan passes as well as the media invites were sent out to the creators and media but now the event has been rescheduled to October 29 in Newyork.
So the OnePlus 6T is now rescheduled to launch on October 29 due to Apple’s announcement of an event on the same date. Now, this makes the Chinese company OnePlus to step back and reschedule the event date.
This is actually a great move as OnePlus is still a growing company and in front of the big giant Apple, it’s very unlikely that the media will attend the OnePlus’s event.
OnePlus’s CEO Pete Lau has shared a post on their forum where he talks about this and at the end he says ” We don’t want Apple to steal our thunder”.
He also states,” Our goal is to make sure it(event) gets the time and attention it deserves”.
Basically, the CEO states the reason for the change of the launch date.
Other than this, They also said that the tickets will be refunded for all those who won’t be able to attend on October 29 which is the new date, as well as the company, will incur for reservations which are already done for October 30 by media guests.
