Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury Announced In China As A Mid-Range Galaxy S8

The Korean smartphone giant “Samsung” has finally announced the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury Edition smartphone which has been in the news for quite a while now. The smartphone is being referred to as a Mid Range or toned down variant of the company’s amazing Flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S8. The Samsung Galaxy S Light smartphone is also being called the ‛S8 Lite’ or ‛S Lite’. Although, the device comes with quite a seemingly similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 however the major specifications of the smartphone are completely different. As of now, the device has been launched only in China and will most probably go on sale in China on June 1. The S Light Luxury Edition smartphone is also highly expected to be launched in many more other countries in the coming few days.

The Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury runs on the Android Version 8.0 Oreo based on Samsung’s Very Own User Interface. The smartphone also sport quite an amazing 5.8 Inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display along with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Under The Hood, the “S Light” is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa Core 660 Processor paired with “Adrena 512″ GPU. Coming to the memory, the device comes with a RAM of 4GB and an internal storage of around 64GB which is further expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD Card. In terms of the camera department, the device comes with a primary camera of 16MP along with an aperture of f/1.7,  1.12um pixel size, OIS and an LED Flash. On the front side, the device features an 8 megapixel secondary camera with quite an astonishing aperture of around f/1.7.

The Samsung Galaxy S Light is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with full support for fast charging. The device also reportedly comes with a shit ton of different sensors such as Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Barometer, GeoMagnetic Sensor, RGB Light Sensor, Hall Sensor, Iris Sensor, a Proximity Sensor and a Pressure Sensor. The smartphone is also IP68 certified for complete water and dust protection. The device also comes with almost all of the connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C 3.1, NFC and quite an amazing but very rare 3.5mm audio jack.
